Striving for Excellence in Frontline Services : Our impact on the NSS -  Thursday 30 October 2025

University of Birmingham, Aston University and Birmingham City University

The visit will include the opportunity to take a tour of each University Library and hear from staff about the contribution frontline services are making to excellent student satisfaction as evidenced by consistently high NSS scores. 

 

Aston and BCU have just completed exciting refurbishments of their library spaces in response to feedback from library users and UoB has established a comprehensive system where all frontline staff are involved in service improvement.

Schedule:

09:30 – 11:15 University of Birmingham Library Main Library

11:15 - Taxis will be provided to Aston University

11:30 – 13:00 Aston University Library

14:30 – 16:00 BCU Curzon Library

 

These visits are aimed at junior level staff who perhaps don’t always get the opportunity to visit other libraries or to share their experiences with their peers in other services.
