With many places having more than one student intake, in this webinar presenters from a couple of UK HE institutions spoke on how they proactively support student intakes throughout the year.

Sharon presented on how the Library contributes toward supports its student intakes in three areas; The work of the University of St Andrews orientation committee; Peer support for student orientation; Involving all Library staff in the welcoming of new students
Haley Jenkins, Library and Learning Advisor, University of Surrey
Haley outlined a wide range of Initiatives at the University of Surrey, to make their students feel welcome including: International food and recipes display with books in the library + food ; World map – how far did you travel to the University ; Welcome tea stand – with director and team representatives ; Poetry pharmacy ; Library Tours.
