"Recruit, Develop, Thrive: staffing in library customer services”
Call for papers - deadline 4 July 2022


After two virtual conferences, we are going to make a return to face to face and will host our 2022 conference at Woburn House in London.


​The conference will concentrate on how customer services are developing in new hybrid working environments and we want to hear from you. Topics you might like to consider are:


  • What skills sets have you and your team developed to deliver customer services?

  • How have you supported staff coming out of their “comfort zone”?

  • How have changes to working practices affected morale and/or wellbeing?

  • Do you offer flexible working to a customer service team?

  • Have you changed job descriptions to reflect new flexible working models, new skills sets, work locations etc?

  • How have you changed your recruitment practices to encourage diversity and inclusivity in customer services?

  • How are you developing customer services staff to support them in achieving new objectives and delivering new services?

  • Have you developed coaching to support customer services colleagues?

  • What succession planning do you have in place for your teams?


We’d love to hear from you if you are able to answer any of the questions above or have other experiences you feel are relevant and wish to share. All of your ideas are welcome as we seek to deliver another innovative and impactful conference dedicated to customer service.
